I hear the word justice used so much or the injustice of things. What do people really mean when they claim there is an injustice in the world?
This would mean that they or I know what true justice is. I’m not claiming that I’ve not felt this on a regular basis in my life. A large part of my life has been spent fighting the injustices I have perceived. In my life and others. Lots of energy pointing at the injustice of this world. Has it helped me? It’s helped me to reach this point in my life. Without experiencing the energy expenditure and the lack of results I wouldn’t now be examining the true nature of justice.
This injustice we can all feel goes hand in hand with forgiveness and truth. It seems to be even more in the forefront of the minds of the population at this time in history. Why? Well we can see so much “Injustice”. Lies everywhere, rich get richer, poor get poorer and so on. Full blown gas lighting happening on a daily basis. The endless cycle of wrongs committed upon human beings and no-one seems to be paying the price? What price needs to be paid and who is collecting this debt?
This state of feeling that the world is unjust is a common trait in people seeking the truth. It’s part of the journey. A necessary part. I’ve felt it my whole life. It separates us into groups. Those that see and voice their resentment and those that would rather not know and just carry on regardless. As long as they can still do the permitted things they wish, never mind how restrictive it really is, then they are ok. This observation can add to the injustice of those that see. I understand this frustration. My question is do we really want to be in a state of frustration? Just go look up this word in a thesaurus and any one of these words would not be a desirable state to be in.
Synonyms for Frustration:
Annoyance.
Dissatisfaction.
Failure.
Grievance.
Irritation.
Resentment.
Blocking.
Obstruction.
Bitter pill.
Non fulfilment.
Would you willingly choose to inhabit anyone of these states? Yet we do on a daily basis.
Now if we look at the word justice in another way then things might start to make more sense. Justice is often symbolised as scales. Scales represent balance, harmony and evenness. To understand that we are not the arbiters of justice is a hard thing to do. We are not. But we can bring balance to our lives and others. What keeps us in this constant battle is the belief we can fix these things on the outside. There can and will be more balance restored to this earth but it starts right here inside me and you. Now just feel that for a second. You can change everything. Really. You can be the catalyst, restoring balance to this world. To bring balance into your own life and leave justice to God. To me this truly feels like the only logical action to take. I wouldn’t presume to know all outcomes and results and decide who is punished and who is not. How could I from my present perspective? Don’t confuse this with passive non action. It requires a hell of a lot of strength and bravery. If it’s truth you are seeking then firstly look inside. To choose to bring balance and forgiveness into every moment is a life's work. A beautiful life's work with rewards only you may perceive.
From this position you are now no longer the victim of injustice. You have regained and restored yourself to have full power over your actions. You now have the ability to bring balance back into this world. Where will you start on this heroic journey? What balance needs to be brought into your life? I would suggest that deep down you know where the greatest imbalance in your life is. Aim to restore that and you have no idea how much that changes everything. You may see a change in your own life but maybe contemplate that your actions have changed many circumstances immeasurably across this realm and beyond.
Godspeed my friends.
